Projects & works

During the Digital Competence for Educators Course, my competencies grew alongside the tasks. I could develop more insight in all E-learning fields and transfer them to professional areas.

Various complex learning scenarios have been developed for final papers for the first Digital Competence for Educators modules.

Module 3: Reflective practice

Developing assessment competency, methods, and skills in online environments

Educators in kindergarten and after-school daycare facilities learn to use and participate in the internal professional wiki. Main pillars for providing constructive feedback and rubrics for self-assessment are presented.

My own way of learning through developing a concept with core values and how to evaluate them is reflected.

Module 2: Flipped learning online for young professionals (2020)

HEP in KITA
for disability support workers in a new vocational field, in institutional daycare for children

This document drafts an online learning scenario for guiding graduates of professional schools for disability support workers in their job choice. As an example will serve the job as a specialized social worker in pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and after-school daycare facilities (KITA) in the City of Munich (LHM), based on the legal requirements and curriculum of the State of Bavaria as well as the training in schools and facilities for the program of disability support workers  (Heilerziehungspfleger*in = HEP), the pedagogical framework by the State of Bavaria (Bayerischer Bildungs- und Erziehungsplan BayBEP) for children
in daycare and the basic pedagogy standards (Basisstandards) of the City of Munich.

Module 1: Digital Project for Emergency Home Schooling (2020)

The neat school
for first-grade students in after-school daycare facilities in the City of Munich, Germany

This paper drafts an online learning scenario for professional use in children's after-school daycare facilities or in school in an online environment during and after the physical contact restrictions. It is meant to foster and encourage the development of life skills, especially developing the helpful habit of cleaning up your school bag, knowing about what, how, and why to do it.

Inclusive musical project with people of all abilities (2016)

The heart of an eagle

After a story of James Aggrey, Ghana, "The Parable of the Eagle, "written in the early 20th century for the peoples of Africa, for they may recall their own culture and history and believe in the future – for they won't forget that they are eagles and not chickens. This inclusive project with people of many abilities from three different facilities in Upper Bavaria united a choir of 50. We sang together, performed on instruments, accompanied the story with gestures and body movements, decorated the room for the audience, prepared everything week by week, practiced almost daily, and proudly performed twice in front of a large audience in the summer of 2016.

The story goes like this:

Once upon a time, a farmer went to the woods to look for a bird. He wanted to take it home with him. He caught a young eagle, brought it home, and put it into the chicken run with the other chickens. They were very busy with scratching, pecking, brooding, and feeding, but they were friendly and welcomed the young eagle.

The farmer fed the young bird with chicken feed, although it was an eagle, the king of all birds.

One day, a knowledgeable man visited the farmer. They walked around the garden, and the visitor said: "That bird over there is not a chicken. It is an eagle!" "Yes, "said the farmer, "that is right. But I have locked it in the chicken run". "I have given it chicken feed and trained it to be a chicken.". "It is no longer an eagle, but is now a chicken, even though it looks like an eagle. "The knowledgeable man shook his head and said: "No. It still is an eagle. It has the heart of an eagle, and it will fly high in the sky. "

"What do you want? "the farmer said, "He doesn't know it better. I brought him to my chicken run when he was very young. Don't you see that he is satisfied with his life as a chicken? ""No, "the other one said. "He still is an eagle, as he has the heart of an eagle, which will let it fly high in the sky. ""No, no, "the farmer said, "He now is a real chicken and never will fly again. "But that knowledgeable man didn't take it for granted.

Both men were reasonable people who were not content with only talking and discussing. They decided to give it a try and see if the eagle could fly.

The knowledgeable man took the eagle, lifted it high above, and said, conjuring: "You are an eagle! You can fly! You belong to the sky and not to the earth. Spread your wings and fly! "The eagle sat on the raised fist of the man and looked around.

The eagle, however, was confused. He did not know who he was. He looked behind, saw the chickens peck their grains, and jumped down to be with them. The farmer said to the man: "I already told you, he is a chicken. ""No, "said the man. "He is an eagle. We will try again tomorrow. "

The visitor said to the eagle: "You are an eagle, belong to heaven, stretch out your wings and fly."

The next day, the man took the eagle up on the roof of the farmer's house, lifted him up, and said: "Eagle, who you are an eagle. You can fly! You belong to the sky and not to the earth. Spread your wings and fly! "But the eagle looked around, saw the chickens scratching, and jumped down to eat the chicken feed.

The man told the farmer, "Let us try it one last time. Tomorrow I will let the eagle fly. "The following day, the man rose early, took the eagle, walked far away from the houses and out of the village, and climbed a high mountain. The sun had just come up. It was a beautiful, warm and wonderful morning. The man held the eagle high above him and said to the eagle, "You are an eagle. You can fly! You belong to the sky and not to the earth. You have the heart of an eagle. Spread your wings and fly! "

The eagle looked to the right and trembled a bit as if new life was growing in him. He shyly lifted his right wing and then let it down again.

The eagle looked to his left, shyly lifted his left wing – and let it down again. The man stood patiently holding him and gave him time.

With each try, the eagle became more sure of himself. He felt the strength in his broad wings, stretched them slowly, and raised them higher and higher.

The man lifted the eagle straight toward the sun to reassure him. Suddenly, the eagle spread his vast wings. With the cry of an eagle, he soared higher and higher – so high that he could not be seen anymore.
