WHO AM I?

a little bit about me and why I am taking this course

My greatest motivation to enroll in the course was an experience I made in the summer of 2020 when taking the 'Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages course. It was completely online with teachers and students mainly from the Near East region. We teachers whose lessons were observed and feedbacked by our tutors needed some time to get used to the online platform, to plan around the trickiness of slow internet, students partially on mobile phones, invisible and mute learners, breakout rooms, and apps which didn't work, etc.

I am working in an integrative daycare facility for children aged 3 to 14 years. I am an educator, specialized in people of all abilities, ranging from disabilities, learning challenges, behavioral issues up to social exclusion. So, participation for everybody is one of my major professional aim in the pedagogic day-to-day work. I think being connected in an online environment is possible to a similar extent as in a face-to-face classroom, yet we have to use a different framework and more differentiated methods.  Being interested in more than one professional field of life, I am holding a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (IHK) and Education (FernUni Hagen). I specialized in social/therapeutical work for people with diverse abilities. My newest professional development includes the support of service protection for Munich children's daycare facilities.
